Description
I have 2 decades of experience in ceramics, a masters degree in ceramics from the Royal College of Art and 1st class honours Bachelor's degrees in fine arts and culinary arts. I have exhibited in the most prestigious British and international fairs and museums, including the British Ceramics Biennial, the Benaki Museum and Museum of Cycladic Art in Athens and the Korean Craft and Design Foundation in Seoul. I have received awards and commissions from the Tate Modern, James Dyson, Tracy Emin, the Four Seasons Hotel Group and many others. I have extensive experience working with galleries, museums, selling online, setting up for fairs, competitions, exhibiting in shows, transporting work and more. As a result, I have a strong network within my practice which might be handy for your development.
Now with new premises and with close proximity from central London (zone 2) I am ready to offer bespoke one to one, coaching and mentoring sessions and help you achieve your goals and fulfil your ideas in ceramics. Sometimes all we need is someone's expertise to help us reach the next level. Someone who has been there, done it and knows first hand. I can help you with the above and more. We can work either from your studio or within my fully equipped studio in the brand new design district in the heart of North Greenwich peninsula by the O2 right next to the tube station (less than a minute’s walk).
Sometimes we have ideas but we don't have the knowledge to fulfil them. I can help you do that and more. Other times we don't have the knowledge of the material and its properties or the right equipment to make the work we want to good standards. I and my studio are available to you.
Great example of my successful coaching/mentoring was Fabio who had zero knowledge of ceramics but he had a vision and he knew what he wanted to make. With my help and guidance he achieved more than he had ever dreamed. Knowledge and understanding not only of the material but also for the ceramic field and market and recently he launched his very successful ceramic presence promoting other ceramic artists in the UK and abroad. Another great example is Konstantinos. Graphic and product designer with very strong ideas and product but without the material knowledge or equipment. Together with my help he launched two high end products and is now going for the third one.
No matter if you are a creative professional or inspiration seeker, no matter if you have experience with clay or never touched the material before. Whatever your skill level is, I am going to adapt to your needs.
